The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) have partnered to expand access to legal services for Muslim Filipinos through joint legal assistance, education, dispute resolution and policy initiatives nationwide.

The NCMF, through its Bureau of Legal Affairs, and the IBP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 2 at the NCMF Central Office in Quezon City, establishing a framework for coordinating programs addressing the legal needs of Muslim Filipino communities.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on legal assistance, legal education, alternative dispute resolution, capacity-building, referral and case coordination, and policy advocacy.

The partnership also seeks to strengthen legal awareness and protect the rights and welfare of Muslim Filipinos.

The NCMF is the primary government agency tasked with addressing the concerns and advancing the welfare of Muslim Filipinos.

NCMF Secretary Sabuddin N. Abdurahim and IBP National President Allan G. Panolong represented their respective organizations during the signing.
